About McKinley International Risk Management, more than just an international insurance broker, a partner that's "on your payroll"
For too long the only assistance that has been available to international organizations has been very high priced "ABC consulting houses" that charge incredibly high retainer fees, and bill for almost everything they do for clients. We have never billed for our time or expertise in placing over 20 lines of international insurance products.
Our customers enjoy a level of service and response time that is beyond the industry standard. You can hire an international expert full time to come to work every day for $100,000 a year or you can hire us with no annual retainer. If we write a single international insurance program for you there are never consulting fees.
No one has more experience as an international insurance broker and expatriate policy creator
Matthew McKinley (The Principal) has worked in international risk management on the carrier and vendor side for over 18 years as an Underwriter, Account Manager and Sales Director. The company was created August 1, 2007. Mr McKinley is currently a licensed Producer for Life, Health, Property, and Casualty and holds licenses in over 14 States. Mr. McKinley has worked exclusively with international insurance plans and international risk management his entire career, employed by CIGNA International Employee Benefits, MEDEX Assistance, and XN Financial Services, Inc. where he worked with Lloyd's of London syndicates to design a Lloyd's of London international medical plan for expatriates that incorporated U.S. compliant policy language and provisions for U.S. employers with U.S. expatriates.
In 2007, we started McKinley International Risk Management Group to offer clients a SINGLE resource for TOTAL international risk management and an international brokerage that can address all international needs, not just expatriate group health insurance. We hope you explore this website, as we have posted a tremendous amount of information that you can use right away regarding expatriate group medical, local national insurance, foreign workers compensation, and third country national insurance issues you won't find anywhere else. There are over 20 different areas related to international risk management that may be just around the corner for you? Who's helping you today with all of these pending risk exposures... and what is their experience?
We are confident we can find the right insurance or service solution for any international situation presented to us. We are not out to replace your current domestic broker. However, most U.S. brokers have very limited or no experience with international lines and certainly do not understand foreign national insurance, and expatriate group insurance programs. We would like to team up with your broker to provide the proper advice, on ONLY the international lines of coverage where we can be of assistance. Many U.S. brokers welcome working with us because they are uncomfortable with many of these topics and with making recommendations in areas where they are unfamiliar with the terrain. The international risk management piece is often small compared to the domestic, and they are happy to be rid of it.
We can assist with any concern that may cross your desk including: expatriate health insurance, local national insurance, international workers compensation, third country national insurance, and a variety of other plans related to international group insurance.
We have experience working with the following insurers and international service providers comprising over 15 international insurance lines: XN Financial Services, Generali, Lloyd's of London, CIGNA International, BUPA International (IHI Danmark), AETNA Global Benefits, ACE USA, AGM, AlG, Allianz, Sagicor, HTH Worldwide, International SOS, MEDEX Assistance, Mondial Assistance, Medaire, Worldwide Assistance, Insurope, AXA (PPP), Gouda, Von Breda, GMC Paris, Norfolk Mobility Benefits, FGI World, Compsych, Air Security International, Brit Insurance.
Why work with us for ALL International Insurance and International Security Needs?
- No one else knows international risk management better. What is the international experience of your current broker or consultant? There are consequences for not getting things right that goes beyond service difficulties and this is especially true for foreign national insurance. Will global operations become a larger part of your business or organization over time? Not knowing what is around the corner may be the best reason to work with us. There are many ways that "keeping us on your payroll" cost you nothing directly. We look to avoid retainer fees.
- If we write an insured program together, an expatriate medical plan for example, you have access to all our consulting services, even on other lines and other topics, without paying consulting fees. We essentially would be "on your payroll" to assist you at any time with any international employee benefits or international risk management concern, again without paying a monthly retainer or consulting fees. International needs will change over time. What could land on your desk today?
- Service goes far beyond the "quote process." Service is ongoing and includes implementation and it continues after the effective date. All carriers we work with are of high quality, but they are still "large insurers." Problems ranging from claims to billing will still occur. Having worked on the carrier side for many years we know how to navigate inside these companies. In addition, we know how the pricing works which can help you save money during the quote stage, and more importantly, at renewal time where carriers try to recoup aggressive first year pricing.
Expatriate health schemes are the start, not the end

We can provide quotations or risk assessment for all of the following: foreign workers compensation, third country national programs, expat insurance offerings specializing in expatriate group medical, international medical evacuation and assistance, kidnap & random, offshore pension for third country nationals, and multinational pooling.
We look forward to speaking with you!
